2. Isn't Danny in Wildhearts anymore?

danny left the wildhearts ages ago... (last year? earlier this year?) anyhow.. he's not been touring with them or recording with them for a while cos of his habbits!!!

Lycan - Share toured with The dogs when they did the Monsters of Rock tour over here in 2002 with Alice Cooper,Thunder & the Quireboys. Damn fine job she did too.

Andy - i got the cd &dvd from Amazon, think it cost about ?15. Great to see the videos again. You thinking of going to the gig in wolverhampton.

<font size="4" face="Arial">No-one seems to know for sure. An announcement came out a while back that Jo, Bam and Share didn't want to do it any more and Tyla was going to put a new Dogs lineup together. (The promised reunion tour with Steve James has been swept under the carpet, apparently.)

How this differs from a Tyla solo band, I have no idea. This ain't the Dogs at all.

<font size="4" face="Arial">He really didn't leave, Ginger gave him the boot. It's been way over a year if not two. I think Summer Sonic was the last show he did with them not sure. He's been in and out of bands sense then. Even a restart of the Yo-Yo's which booked a couple of shows only to be canceled with no reason why.

But shouldn't band grow and evolve? Yes i like the old look of the Dogs, but i also like the new look as well. OK so the Ramones never changed there look. But still, the Dogs music has changed over the years in my ears.

I don't know Al, the Dogs were always about RnR, and you can't deny that. Tyla and his cigarette burned Gretsch, pure RnR Blues and all that. Now we have a guy with a mowhawk and a Metallica shirt, a Rob Thomas looking guy pointing at something, and the rest looking like...my neighnors. I agree with change but The Quireboys changed in a way I think fits with the old music. Can you imagine this group playing "Billy Two Rivers", "Hurricane", "Sometimes", "Drunk Like Me" or any of the old Doggy tunes that need to be played by a RnR outfit, and not a High School band? They just don't work, IMO. The Dogs were always a VERY image orientated band, and there is NO image here, aside from Tyla.

Hi, I'm new here. Just thought I should mention that the group in that photo is NOT in fact the new Dogs, but Tyla's backing group from when he recently played in Russia.

<font size="4" face="Arial">It's not even just that, it's the fact that the Dogs were MUCH more than just "Tyla and a few other herberts". They were a product of four distinct personalities. The "State We're In" stuff was very different to (i.e. not as good as) what came after. The Darrell Bath era was different to the Jo Dog era. I ask again - in what way is this "new Dogs" a legit Dogs line-up as opposed to another Tyla solo band?
